Concept Naja

A nature inspired design

Working on this project has not been a walk in the park. We started working on this project in 2010. Then clients' projects come along and creative concepts have to be pushed aside.

Nevertheless we kept working on it and refining it until we felt the images truly radiated the emotions we wanted to create?

We had two main inspirations that helped shape the Concept Naja:

1️⃣The never ending and interlocking fluidity of the Vosgien mountains that depicts natural beauty. This is our well-researched and explored internal concept design language since our 2021 Concept REVE. It evokes evolution and the perpetual elegance of the car’s shoulders, wheel arches that results in a striking silhouette

2️⃣The Genus Naja /Cobra.  We have infused jewel like patterns into the body of the car that dances with light reflection as do the scales of the snake. The stance of the car stimulates the imposing feeling of awe and peril one gets around a naja reared up and ready to strike.

We challenged ourselves to design a great car coming from two very different inspirations. We imposed this challenge upon us because we wanted to :

  • Demonstrate our creativity, design competences and design process
  • Question our evolution as humans. Are we going the right way?

We aim to evolve from our fossil fuel addiction to sustainability. Are we moving to vehicles that are often nuclear (electric) powered with by product that has far greater consequences? Can we truly call this progress?

Should we be frightened by the potential new trend towards promoting the artificial intelligence of an individual a virtue?

The colour of the Concept Naja depicts that of the snake and the troubling climate change affecting places like the inspiring Vosges mountains to questions; Why do we call it a great summer weather when once perpetually green mountains dry up?
